One of the hardest and most painful things I’ve ever done is come out as a gay Christian. It’s really sad and embarrassing to me that the difficulty in this was overwhelmingly because of my relationship with the religious community. For a group that claims to be followers of Love itself, they sure are missing it here. That’s a lot to get past in order to be yourself.
